Make New Friends – But Keep the Old

dscf0327As I sat at lunch today with some of my girlfriends, I was reminded once again how valuable friendships truly are.  These women have been my friends since I was a little girl, and we manage to get together for lunch at least once a month.  Despite our different lifestyles and our busy agendas, we find time to stop for a couple of hours to remember the “good old days” and create some new memories.

These special women have helped to form me into the mom I am today.  Some are moms themselves; some are expecting to be moms soon; and others are enjoying the single life.  Still, I am able to glean wisdom from each of my friends.

One of my friends teaches me to be joyful in all things.  She always has uplifting words for her friends – even when she is facing some of life’s toughest trials.  Another one of my friends has taught me about trusting in God when your life hangs in the balance.  And still another friend teaches me that honoring your husband above all things is one of life’s greatest rewards.

To these wonderfully inspiring women, I say thank you – for your wisdom, encouragement, love, and friendship.  I would not be the same without you.
